Think Outside of the Bottle
Welcome to the Creative Mind Travel "Calendar Contest". Many will enter... 16 will win... All will be put on display! The theme for this contest is "Discovering New Worlds"
Use your imagination to depict what a Messenger may find on a new world. What challenges would the inhabitants have and how would the IGM Federation help them to help themselves. Use the InterGalactic Messengers to carry messages to other stars and reach out to other life forms throughout the cosmos.
Use different styles of art and media to express your creativity. Write a poem, a short story or a song to add a new adventure to the IGM archives. Although Videos, Animated Gifs and Songs will not be able to be placed in the Calendar, these entries are accepted and will be listed in the digital version of the calendar and winners will be represented and mentioned in the printed version of the calendar.
The IGM Federation appreciates all forms of creativity and encourages freedom of expression in art. We will do our best to accomodate all entry types. This is the place for your Creative Mind Travel.

Choice 1: Coloring in the IGM Characters - more
Select the IGM Character with a background. Color in the Messenger and the background. There are many colors in the Universe and a few yet to be discovered. The combination of colors are unlimited. Send us your work bursting with your creativity. Example of Printable IGM Characters.

Choice 2: Create a New Background for an IGM Character - more
Select the IGM Character without a background. The InterGalactic Messengers have been to many worlds and galaxies. How would a different planet look? Create a new world. Show us how you see the next planet they visit. You can also choose to simply color in the IGM character leaving the background blank. Example of Printable IGM Characters.

Choice 3: Create a New InterGalactic Messenger - more
You may use one of the printable Bottle only version of the IGM Characters or create your own Bottle-Shaped InterGalactic Messenger. Let your imagination take off. There are 360 spherical directions to adventure through interstellar space. Since there is no gravity to hold you back, let your inspiration travel at light speed. Choice 4: Write a Celestial Story. - more
Pick one, two or all of the InterGalactic Messengers. Write about an adventure they had on a new world. Show how they opened up communication and brought peace and prosperity to the planet. Make a poem, a sonnet or a song showing how open lines of communication hold everyone together. For the Calendar contest please limit your word count to 2500 words. There is no minimum word count. Longer stories will be featured on the Goodwill Dispatch Reporter.
